End-Time Timeline

I. INTI. INTRODUCTION

A. In this session — “End-Time Timeline” — we will be viewing a snapshot of the major events that are in the Churches near future. Time will only permit us to hit the high spots. Many of the events listed here we could spend several sessions developing. Obviously time will not permit that to happen.

B. My goal in this session is not to go deep but wide. Seeing the enormity, the complexity, and the energy that Jesus has gone to prepare a stunning future for His Bride (Church) should inspire us to love Him at an even deeper level with greater dedication and intensity.

“… I go to prepare a place for you. ³And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself (rapture); that where I am, there you may be also. ⁴And where I go you know, and the way you know.” (Jn. 14:2b-4)

C. What kind of place has Jesus gone to prepare for us? It is my strong belief that most Believers are greatly confused and have been misinformed about their glorious future in God. Most Christians imagine that they will be spending eternity in heaven … floating on clouds and playing harps. I have great news for you! Your future destiny is much more purposeful and exciting than the one just presented!

II. “BIRTH PAINS” OR “BEGINNING OF SORROWS”

⁴And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. ⁵For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. ⁶And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. ⁷For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. ⁸All these are the beginning of sorrows. ( Matt. 24:4-8)
